MOUNT PLEASANT — Seven different Heritage hockey players scored Wednesday in the Hawks' 8-2 victory over host Mount Pleasant.

Trevor Bremer led the way for Heritage (1-2, 1-0 Saginaw Valley League) with two goals and one assists. Tim Cornford, Jacob Mackey, Jacob Tweedle, Tom Angers, Sami Abdelaziz and Steven Jackson all also scored for the Hawks.

Brandon Karl earned the win in goal for the Hawks.

Heritage led 5-1 after one period and added three more goals in the second period.

"We're trying to find some sort of groove since we haven't had a whole lot of games," Heritage coach J.J. Bamberger said. "We buried a lot of pucks early which was good to see."

The Hawks skate again Wednesday at Midland High.
