Power play fuels Saginaw Heritage hockey team to 4-2 victory against Mount Pleasant

Saginaw Heritage's struggling power play found some life as it scored two power-play goals en route to a victory against Mount Pleasant on senior night for Saginaw Heritage.

"It was a sloppy game," Saginaw Heritage coach JJ Bamberger said. "Special teams was better, which was a good sign for us."

Tim Cornford scored two goals and Steven Jackson netted two assists for Saginaw Heritage.

Saginaw Heritage outshot Mount Pleasant 43-9

"We did have control of the play for a good part of the game," Bamberger said in regards to the lopsided shot  count. "That's a really good stat."

Seniors Brandon Karl and Josh Thompson split time in goal for Saginaw Heritage allowing a goal each.
